My Heydays

In this series, I explore memories of my childhood, prior to the digital age. During this period of time, I recall the time and space being slow and vacuous but full of anticipation and satisfaction. For example, there was a time when we eagerly waited for months or even years for a particular movie to open in a theatre or to come out on a video, or visited a bookstore and a record shop, often browsing , meandering, and spending hours on end, fully embodying the event – experience meaningless and antiquated for the current time and generation. As I acknowledge and embrace that all things must evolve, I still wanted to remember, taste, and capture this sentiment and longing in this series.
